Overview
The Eames Plastic Side Chair is Vitra’s re-edition of the now legendary Eames Fibreglass Chair. It is based on the original 1950 design – the first industrially manufactured plastic chair. In 1993, Vitra discontinued production for ecological reasons, as fibreglass cannot be recycled. Thanks to recent advances in technology and materials, we are now proud to offer the Eames Plastic Chair – in the exact same shape, but made of polypropylene.
