Norman Foster

Biography:

Norman Foster, born 1935 in Manchester, received his training at Manchester University's School of Architecture and City Planning, and at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he met Richard Rogers. The two men initially worked together with Sue Rogers, Georgie Wolten and Wendy Foster in the group "Team 4". Foster Associates (now Foster + Partners) was founded in London in 1967.

Projects:

Sir Norman Foster, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1999, has constructed prominent buildings around the globe, including the German Reichstag in Berlin, Chak Lak Kok International Airport in Hong Kong, Hearst Tower in New York, Swiss Re Tower in London, and Beijing Airport.
