The Typecaster
A Studio Visit with Robert Stadler
In conjunction with Milan Design Week 2018, Vitra presents the exhibition ‘Typecasting’, a panorama of some 200 objects curated by designer Robert Stadler. For this installation, he places current products alongside icons, prototypes, special editions, rejects and future visions.
Although born in Vienna, Robert Stadler has been living and working in Paris for over 20 years. His work oscillates between creating objects – often in an artistic context – and critically reflecting on design, mostly by way of exhibitions and publications. Meet the designer in his beautiful studio in the 2nd arrondissement and hear him speak about his exhibition concept.
