HEAG Südhessische Energie AG (HSE) has united its teams that were previously scattered across the city and has thus also united various cultures of the individual business sectors in a new building in Darmstadt. In this way, the company hopes to encourage both communication between the individual employees and exchanges between the teams. Internally, the hope is that a sense of community will develop, and externally that the company will present a progressive picture to its customers. Together with Vitra, the customer’s requirements and desires are translated into an overall concept with a uniform design that contributes to the corporate identity. In addition, goals are first defined, the status quo is analysed and workshops and interviews are held with the employees. The interior design concept and the spatial and furniture planning were created based on this. HSE defined the corresponding standards and Vitra developed the special furniture.
