Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec – “Album” Exhibition 3 February - 3 June 2012

In cooperation with the arc en rêve centre d’architecture, Bordeaux, the Vitra Design Museum Gallery in Weil am Rhein is now presenting a diverse selection of framed pictures and original drawings, as well as archive photographs of models and projects by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. The 300 exhibition pieces not only offer an interesting insight into the work of the Breton brothers, but also emphasise the significance of drawing as a medium essential for the generation of ideas and the creation of objects. Beyond that, the "Album" exhibition illustrates that a design process often involves complex problems and does not always necessarily result in the development of a usable product. Due to its association with natural forms, “Album” can be seen as a complement to the Rudolf Steiner exhibition which is currently being shown at the Vitra Design Museum. The complete works of the Bouroullecs can still be viewed at the Centre Pompidou-Metz until 30 July.
