Overview
The .07 swivel chair is one of the last designs Maarten Van Severen managed to complete before his death. It is the result of an intense involvement with the natural material leather, which had fascinated him for some time. Although .07 uses the .04 base, mechanism and armrests, it is nonetheless quite unique. Its seat consists of a comfortable upholstered, pliable construction that is covered with high-end calf leather. The striking open seams of the dark brown leather covering are remarkable. They draw attention to the quality of the material used while at the same time emphasizing the precise contours of the seat, which, despite its upholstery, is nonetheless slender. As an unobtrusive chair that does not, however, fail to exude a serious dignity the.07 is an ideal choice for the home desk.
Materials
Base chromed die-cast aluminium, armrests made of polyurethane integral foam, seat upholstered and covered in calf leather.
