Verner Panton, 1963

Verner Panton was interested in the theme of mobility in his designs. One of his best-known items of furniture on castors is Bar Boy, designed in 1963. A mobile container and side-table in one, it owes its cylindrical shape to Panton's predilection for basic geometric shapes and to its function. Collection Vitra Design Museum.
