Norman Foster

The architect Norman Foster is not only an airport specialist, but also an expert with regard to the interior design and equipment of international airport buildings. Together with Vitra, he developed the Airline seating system for waiting areas.

Biography

Norman Foster, born 1935 in Manchester, received his training at Manchester University's School of Architecture and City Planning, and at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he met Richard Rogers. The two men initially worked together with Sue Rogers, Georgie Wolten and Wendy Foster in the group "Team 4". Foster Associates (now Foster + Partners) was founded in London in 1967.
