Cherry blossom season on the Vitra Campus
15 April 2018
Cherry blossom season on the Vitra Campus is a particularly spectacular sight. Every year in April, the cherry trees scattered all over the northern part of the campus come into bloom. The place is transformed as spring arrives on the Vitra site in Weil am Rhein.
We would like to celebrate this cheerful vision with you on Sunday afternoon, 15 April 2018: the meadow between the Vitra Design Museum and Tadao Ando’s Conference Pavilion will be furnished with tables and chairs for a picnic under the cherry trees. A range of savoury afternoon snacks and sweet delicacies will be available for purchase.
We will also be offering free guided tours through and around the Conference Pavilion designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando. These will be held every hour, on the hour, from 2 – 5 pm on the meadow. Please register on arrival for one of the guided tours. A Drop-in workshop under the cherry trees will provide extra entertainment and get visitors in the mood for spring.
