Jean Prouvé, 1930

The Cité armchair was originally designed by Jean Prouvé as part of his furnishing scheme for the student residence halls at the Cité Universitaire in Nancy. It is one of Prouvé's early masterpieces and was also used by the French designer and engineer in the living room of his own home. Comfortable and robust, Cité brings an aura of functional elegance to lobbies and lounges.
