GEMÜ
Ingelfingen, Germany

The client manufactures valves for a wide range of industrial applications with over 2500 employees worldwide. A new building was recently constructed at the headquarters in Ingelfingen to unite the decentralised organisation in a single location and accommodate the strong growth in its workforce.
Innovation is central to GEMÜ's operations. During the Covid-19 pandemic, this became harder to sustain, leading to the realisation: 'Innovation depends on human interaction'. The new interiors were therefore not only planned by Vitra's Consulting & Design Studio to facilitate these encounters, but also to implement them with an attractive design that makes employees enjoy coming to the office.
In addition to the workspaces, the layout includes options for communication and interaction as well as private retreat. The following areas were outfitted with furniture from Vitra and Artek: workstations, meeting rooms, work cafés, lounges, workshops, retreats, agile environments, communication zones and the staff restaurant. The result is a place that promotes innovation and expresses the identity, culture and dynamism of the company.
