Penta Real Estate
Prague, Czech Republic

Penta develops commercial, residential and special-purpose properties in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. After the previous office space proved unable to accommodate the growing company, the firm decided to move into the new Masaryčka building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. The aim was to create an attractive working environment that would function flawlessly and entice employees to return to the office after the years of the pandemic. Furthermore, it was to be outfitted with Vitra furniture from the previous location – some of which had been in use for more than a decade.

Convinced by the quality of Vitra’s products and services, Penta once again opted to work with the Swiss company and entrusted it with responsibility for the entire furnishing scheme as general contractor.

All support functions are grouped together at the centre of the new office landscape, while the work areas are arranged around them in transparent structures. Reception, conference rooms, open-plan workstations and retreat zones are complemented by a communal space that promotes informal interactions. The high quality of the environment motivates employees to come to the office – they feel valued and more connected, and are able to work more efficiently. The existing Eames Aluminium Chairs EA 119 have been carefully refurbished and are now being reused with a renewed 30-year guarantee.
