For its newly constructed headquarters in Burgau, VR-Bank Donau-Mindel aimed to create an innovative visitor and consultancy experience for its customers, while also providing employees with a modern, communicative professional environment that accommodates the different workflows.

In close collaboration with the Vitra Consulting & Planning Studio, the design process not only solicited input from the management team, but also actively involved the bank's staff. Multiple visits to the Vitra Campus, various workshops and a comprehensive study laid the foundation for the development of a vibrant space for work and interaction.

The bright customer lobby conveys a sense of safety and trustworthiness. Multi-level privacy options create flexible waiting and consultation areas that can be adapted to different needs – whether for personal conversations, team gatherings or more formal meetings. Open-plan workspaces foster collaboration across departmental boundaries and promote a culture of shared engagement. A work café offers space for informal exchanges – both among colleagues and between employees and clients.
