Coat Dots
Hella Jongerius, 2013
The Coat Dots are small, colourful wooden balls that attach to the wall, creating cheerful accents in kitchens and bathrooms, as well as in entrance areas and cloak rooms. They can be grouped in free arrangements or in linear rows of three or more balls to make an attractive wall sculpture. When the need arises, the Coat Dots can be used to hang things on: each ball is mounted on an extendable aluminium pin that can be pulled slightly away from the wall, thus providing a handy hook for coats, jackets or hangers. Thanks to their vivid colours, the Coat Dots are pleasing eye-catchers.
As part of her work on the Vitra Colour Library, Hella Jongerius designed the Coat Dots in three colour groups with finely nuanced shades of red, green or white. The Coat Dots are available in sets of three, including hardware fittings for self-assembly.
