The Cyl Table family, conceived by French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, comprises a range of versatile tables with a reductive aesthetic. Primarily developed for use in studio-like office environments and available in three different versions, Cyl Table is also suited for the home office or even as a dining table, thanks to the sensuous quality of its materials.
Table top: straight perimeter frame in solid natural oak with clear lacquer finish, 70 mm high and 30 mm thick (13 mm thick where table top is inserted); table surface in light oak veneer with a natural finish or in black-stained oak (16 mm); the table top and frame are securely glued together and form an integrated whole.
Table legs: solid wood with lacquer finish, Ø 75 mm; glides with levelling adjustment (max. 10 mm) for uneven floors.
Connectors: anodised aluminium, natural or black finish, Ø 80 mm, H 74 mm, for attachment of table legs. Connected to table top via bracket elements (die-cast aluminium). Top cover of connector made of solid oak with natural lacquer finish, inserted flush with the opening, Ø 75 and 18 mm thick.
Standing-height table undershelf: serves as storage space, height 350 mm; distance between undershelf and lower edge of table top frame is 650 mm.
Thanks to the carefully coordinated selection of materials and colours available in the Vitra Colour & Material Library, products by Vitra can be effortlessly combined to create diverse, individual collages.
Cyl represents the antithesis of the cold, technical office environment and aims to create a haven of peace and strength by focussing on tradition. Solid wood emphasises the clean lines of the system with its smooth planes, structural frame and cylindrical elements. As a rather uncommon material in office settings, solid wood conveys a handcrafted, natural aesthetic and infuses a touch of emotion into the look and feel of the workplace.
The Cyl system encompasses different tables and a sofa…
