At GfK (Gesellschaft für Konsumforschung), just under 13,000 employees worldwide study how people live and think. The market research company regards its staff as its key resource and as the foundation for its success. A comfortable working environment is viewed as vital for maintaining employee motivation. This is a concept shared by Vitra.

Collaboration between the two firms was therefore a logical choice when it came to planning the new GfK offices in a former light bulb factory. The result is a dynamic yet home-like setting, which can be easily and flexibly adapted to growing numbers of personnel. The focus was also on good acoustics and an interior aesthetic that is an attractive blend of industrial features and sophisticated elegance.
