CONTENT GUIDELINES

for Product Pages

There are two types of pages for products:

Product pages based on the subfamily (SUB):

  • provide the visitor with succinct, factual information about a specific product
  • text is short with no additional images
  • one product page (SUB) is live for each product currently offered for sale
Product family pages based on the family (FAM):
  • provide more emotional information - the story and history of the product family
  • text may be longer with additional images
  • product family pages (FAM) are live when
     - A. there are multiple products (SUBs) in the corresponding product family (FAM)
     - B. when there is enough interesting content available to offer the visitor valuable additional information about the product family, even if there is only one SUB in the FAM (usually for better-known products, e.g. Eames Elephant).
