Givaudan
Kemptthal, Switzerland
Givaudan, the world's largest manufacturer of fragrances and flavours, has renovated a former instant soup plant and crating facility for its business centre in Kemptthal and expanded the site into a modern office building. State-of-the-art technology was integrated, while carefully preserving the industrial character of the production halls.
For a period of two months, employees were able to test and compare furnishing schemes for the future offices using mock-up configurations from various providers. Vitra won together with the partner teo jakob the contract for the office workstations, meeting room furniture and a number of lounges. In addition to the staff testing results, other decisive factors included the quality of the products, the range of services offered, and the flexibility with which Vitra is able to modify standard products and adapt them to customer requirements.
