Nomura Co., Ltd. is an international company specialising in spatial design, interior design, architecture, and consulting. During the renovation of its headquarters, a new environment was created for recruitment interviews – a space where candidates can feel at ease and perform to their full potential, without neglecting privacy and acoustic performance.

For this new area comprising meeting rooms and a waiting area, Nomura sought furniture that would enhance the intended atmosphere. Mynt by Vitra was selected for the seating. The chair’s design language integrates seamlessly into the interior concept, which draws inspiration from the Japanese term “tokeru” – meaning “to melt” or “to release tension”. Curved glass surfaces, textile elements and indirect lighting establish a soft, calm ambience, while acoustic ceiling solutions ensure undisturbed conversations and transparent elements allow silhouettes to remain perceptible without compromising privacy.
