Vitra is bringing architecture and design together with classic automobiles for the first time on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein on Sunday, 21 September 2025.
With its iconic buildings designed by world-renowned architects, the Vitra Campus provides a perfect backdrop for exploring the interplay between architecture and automotive design. To celebrate this enduring affiliation, Vitra is hosting an exclusive event on Sunday, 21 September that will delight design enthusiasts, architecture lovers and classic car aficionados alike.
With its iconic buildings designed by world-renowned architects, the Vitra Campus provides a perfect backdrop for exploring the interplay between architecture and automotive design. To celebrate this enduring affiliation, Vitra is hosting an exclusive event on Sunday, 21 September that will delight design enthusiasts, architecture lovers and classic car aficionados alike.
Exclusive event
From 10am to 2pm, you can look forward to a line-up of automotive design classics curated by ‘TheDriversApp’, along with a brunch reception and an architectural tour.
Entrance to the event is by ticket only and includes the following:
- 10 to 11am: welcome aperitif at the classic car exhibition in Zaha Hadid’s Fire Station
- 11am to 1pm: brunch reception at the Vitra Circle Store
- 1 to 2pm: one-hour guided architectural tour of the Vitra Campus (in German or English)
- Reserved parking space in designated area for vintage vehicles if you travel to the event in your own classic car (North car park)

Public Opening
A line-up of automotive design classics curated by ‘TheDriversApp’ are on show to visitors in Zaha Hadid’s Fire Station from 1 to 4 pm.
A Citroën HY food truck will be offering refreshments from 1pm onwards, while DJ Rainer Trüby (Compost Records/Rootdown Freiburg) hosts an atmospheric live set.
Take the opportunity to also visit the VitraHaus or one of the exhibitions The Shakers: A World in the Making at the Vitra Design Museum or Science Fiction Design: From Space Age to Metaverse at the Vitra Schaudepot.
You are welcome to come to the event in your own classic vehicle and mix and mingle with other vintage car fans. No ticket is required to participate in the event itself. If travelling to the event in your own classic car, you can reserve a space in the designated parking area for vintage vehicles. As places are limited, it is advisable to buy a ticket as early as possible.
The ticket price of 10 euros includes:
- Reserved parking space in designated area for vintage vehicles (North car park)
- Voucher for a coffee or a soft drink
This will be followed by an atmospheric live set hosted by DJ Rainer Trüby (Compost Records/Rootdown Freiburg) until 4pm.
