La Vie by Thomas Bühner

At the METRO Campus in Düsseldorf, the restaurant La Vie by Thomas Bühner brings the acclaimed chef's precise yet sensual signature to life in the form of an immersive spatial experience. Following the renovation of the existing building, Kitzig Design Studios created a restaurant interior marked by structural clarity and finely tuned material contrasts.

Once the concept was in place, the client sought a furniture partner whose products and services would align perfectly with the refined vision. Vitra was chosen for its extensive portfolio and virtually unlimited options for precisely coordinating colours and materials with the surroundings. At the heart of the concept is the Mikado chair family: the chairs and bar stools provide consistent comfort while reinforcing the calm, understated character of the space. The bar stool was developed specifically for this project.

Vitra furniture was used in the entrance, lounge zone and the individual dining areas on the different levels, as well as a semi-open outdoor space. Subtly integrated into the interior concept, the pieces help define and enrich the overall atmosphere without ever competing for attention.
