Echt AG
St. Gallen, Switzerland

Echt is a neurobranding agency specialised in brand development and packaging design based on neuroscientific insights. Having moved from the outskirts to the centre of St Gallen, the agency now also benefits from more attractive premises – an additional magnet when it comes to recruiting new talent. However, as the available space is smaller, the new site needed to be used as efficiently as possible. To this end, Echt turned to Vitra's Consulting & Planning Studio (CPS) to design the workplace interior. The planning process focused on two main objectives: sustainability and promotion of creative collaboration.

To achieve the first goal, the company's existing furnishings were incorporated in the landscape, and when new items were required, they were sourced exclusively from Vitra's 'Circle for Contract' portfolio – previously used furniture that has been reconditioned by Vitra.
'This change is an opportunity to take our way of working, our values and our philosophy to a new level.'
To spark creativity, a balance was sought between individual focused work and productive, inspiring exchanges: through shared desks, co-creation spaces, project rooms, areas for concentrated work, corners for spontaneous conversations and comfortable sofas for brainstorming sessions. The result is a spatial concept that fosters good ideas and openness to change.
'Our new office sharpens our focus – with more space for collaboration, new perspectives and flexible structures, allowing us to offer greater support and increased innovation for our clients.'
