Itoya

Founded in 1904, Itoya is Japan's historic, leading stationery company. With the opening of the new flagship store in a twelve-storey building in Ginza, Tokyo, Itoya sought to mark its transition from a classic stationery shop to a creative brand.

Vitra collaborated on the development of an inspirational setting: a business lounge and restaurant invite customers to linger and enjoy the store experience, while even getting some work done. Considerable emphasis was placed on an elegant, appealing interior in both areas, dominated by a clear-cut aesthetic.
