The client, a British real estate fund, manages a portfolio of industrial and commercial properties where thoughtful interior design and spatial layout are key priorities. This focus was also central to the refurbishment of Chapter House: the 450 m² fourth floor was redesigned in a way that would highlight both the building’s character and its adaptability for a wide range of potential tenants – while maintaining continuity with the other floors. With this goal in mind, RTP Real Estate and the commissioned architectural firm developed a flexible interior concept that combines workstations, spaces for dialogue and collaboration, formal and informal meeting zones, and a reception area for external visitors.

In order to maintain the same exacting design standards throughout, Vitra products were chosen for the furnishings. In addition to quality and cost considerations, ecological and social criteria were also crucial factors in this decision – along with an adaptable furnishing concept in the case of a change in tenant. Vitra’s extensive product portfolio offered just the right solutions for each area and its intended function – from ergonomic office chairs to inviting sofas, from well-placed side tables to large meeting benches.
