All areas of the VitraHaus are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. despite the maintenance work. There will be no restrictions inside.
The VitraHaus, built by Herzog & de Meuron, is Vitra’s flagship store and home to the Vitra Home Collection. Here, you can view furniture arrangements in different design styles, which include both the great Vitra classics and the latest contemporary designs.
This means that you can find inspiration for your home, explore your taste in design and try out, order and purchase furniture and design objects. Enjoy the view from the loft and then set off on a tour of discovery: in addition to the showroom over four floors, a shop, the Lounge Chair Atelier and the Café await you on the ground floor.

How can the VitraHaus and its function be described?
The VitraHaus presents an overview of the Vitra Home Collection. Discover furniture arrangements in different design styles and find inspiration suited to your own home and taste. Explore the entire Vitra Home Collection and order your own contemporary furniture items or design classics in the VitraHaus. You can book a personal consultation with a furnishing expert or get advice from our team right on the spot.

How can I register for the Lounge Chair Atelier?
Customers can register to observe fabrication of their own Lounge Chair by contacting the VitraHaus Sales team. If the necessary materials are available and there is sufficient capacity, production may even occur the very same day. For enquiries and bookings:

Are there guided tours of the VitraHaus?
There are no guided tours of the VitraHaus as it is not a museum. Customers are encouraged to explore and experience the different levels of the showroom in their own manner. The VitraHaus exterior is included in the architectural guided tour. For tour bookings

Is it possible to take photos inside the VitraHaus?
Visitors are welcome to take photos inside the VitraHaus for private use. Commercial photography, however, is not permitted.
Are tickets available for purchase in the VitraHaus?
Yes, tickets for the Vitra Design Museum and Schaudepot can be purchased in the VitraHaus, as well as for guided tours of the Vitra Campus. In addition, tickets may also be obtained directly in the museums and online.

Can I buy products in the VitraHaus and take the purchased products home with me directly?
The shop in the VitraHaus is open from 10am–6pm, with a wide range of products available for immediate purchase. The Interior Sales team is available from Monday to Saturday, 10am–6pm, and will be happy to advise you.
Are dogs allowed in the VitraHaus or the VitraHaus Cafe?
Dogs are not permitted in the VitraHaus and VitraHaus Café, with the exception of service dogs.
