An ingeniously simple mechanism concealed beneath the seat allows the backrest to move. Combined with all-round upholstery, this delivers exceptional comfort.

Mikado contains a high proportion of recycled materials. The individual components – including the covers – can be readily repaired or replaced by service employees, helping to extend the chair's longevity. And at the end of its lifespan, all the parts can be separated for recycling or correct disposal. The covers are neither glued nor stapled and even the polyurethane foam can be cleanly separated from the seat cushion support and back shell.

Mikado is available as an armchair with the suggestion of armrests or as a side chair, which each offer a distinctive seating experience and yet are so similar that they can be combined without disturbing the visual harmony around a table or within a given space.
