University of Bari

The Rectorate of the University of Bari has moved into offices in the Palazzo Ateneo, which have been restored and updated in terms of functionality and technical features. When selecting furniture for the interior, the aim was to find timeless designs that could easily blend into the prestigious historical context of the building.

The choice fell on Aluminium Chairs and Soft Pad Chairs by Charles and Ray Eames and a number of understated contemporary designs by Antonio Citterio, Alberto Meda and Jasper Morrison – all durable Vitra products that make a distinctive statement within the imposing architectural setting without being obtrusive.
