CDF
Compact Density Fibreboard, or CDF, is a wood fibreboard with particularly high density and strength. It is made from finely defibrated, mostly bark-free softwood that is compressed under high pressure and high temperature into a homogeneous material. CDF features a robust, moisture-resistant structure and a dark, dyed-through surface. Vitra uses CDF in applications where mechanical durability, precise edge machining and a high-quality appearance are required.
