Ceramic Nights
Attend the first "Ceramic Nights" on the Vitra Campus!

On Tuesday 17th March, Tuesday 5th May, Tuesday 27th October or Tuesday 24th November 2026, spend a creative evening with friends, family or colleagues at the Depot Deli. The event starts at 5pm.
As part of the ceramic painting, you will be able to individually decorate prepared, untreated ceramics – cups, plates or bowls. Following a brief introduction, you can start to apply your creativity to the various paints and techniques. The painted items are then fired in the kiln to ensure that the paints are highly durable, glossy and food-safe.
You can choose from five different ceramic blanks. The selection is limited per type. The finished painted items can be collected from VitraHaus around two weeks after the workshop.
Inspiring creative techniques
Numerous design methods can be applied to ceramic painting. The classic brush technique produces fine lines, details and coloured areas. Dabbing with a sponge creates soft transitions and vivid structures. With the Sgraffito technique, a layer of paint is first applied and then partly scratched off to produce decorative patterns. Masking certain areas results in clear lines and geometric shapes. Stamps can also be used to produce creative patterns and give every item a personal touch.
The ticket price includes:
- A welcome drink; both alcoholic and soft drinks are available
- Mineral water throughout the event
- Professional workshop guidance
- One ceramic blank
- Ceramic paints
- Brushes and other artistic tools
- Aprons
- Firing of the ceramics in the ceramics workshop
The Ceramic Nights are held in the Depot Deli. Additional drinks and food from a small evening menu can be purchased on the evening.
