Ferréol Babin is a French designer who works primarily with wood, exploring the intersection of sculpture and design. Since 2016, he has been crafting a growing collection of hand-carved wooden spoons—each one a unique piece that fuses functionality with artistic expression.
More than utilitarian objects, these spoons reflect the process of carving and the natural beauty of the material, making each item a singular work of functional art. On the occasion of the exhibition «The Shakers: A World in the Making», the Vitra Design Museum is showing a selection of these handcrafted originals curated by Babin, available for purchase at the Vitra Design Museum Shop and collectable after the end of the exhibition.
