The client is a globally active manufacturer of semiconductors. Sections of the interior and the technical infrastructure of the Geneva headquarters were to be adapted to enable the creation of a new Communal & Communications Space (CC Space). The project required extensive structural modifications due to the dense arrangement of load-bearing elements.

Impressed by the design proposals from Vitra Consulting & Planning Studio (CPS), the client did not shy away from a more expansive reconfiguration of the walls and ceilings to accommodate a modernised spatial concept with contemporary furnishings and technology – even the access needed to be relocated and redesigned.

The result is an open interior outfitted with selected Vitra furniture and featuring multiple zones that can be partitioned with acoustic curtains for maximum flexibility of use. Employees and management are delighted with the new CC Space, which has become a flagship venue for the company: in addition to core functions, it is also used to host large-scale meetings, briefings with partners and various other events.
