The sculptural MVS Chaise recliner by Maarten Van Severen surprises users with its excellent comfort: the resilient material adapts to the shape of the body and is quite soft and pleasantly pliable. The versatile frame structure makes it easy for users to alternate between a sitting and reclining position by simply shifting their weight. The MVS Chaise is also suitable for outdoor use.

  • Recliner shell: polyurethane integral foam with upholstered effect.
  • Head cushion: leather or polyurethane foam, matched to shell colour. 
Version with head cushion in polyurethane foam suitable for outdoor use.
  • Base: self-supporting recliner on stainless steel base, with sitting and reclining positions.

Maarten Van Severen
The designer Maarten Van Severen started creating furniture in the mid-1980s, initially producing the pieces himself in his Ghent workshop. His designs are characterised by their simple form and superb comfort. The collaboration with Vitra began in 1996, resulting in the Van Severen Collection.
