Vitra is opening a pop-up shop at 100 Gansevoort Street, opposite the Whitney Museum of American Art. The 7,500 square foot space will exhibit Vitra’s new accessories range, as well as a selection of Vitra and Artek furniture items for home and office.In anticipation of its move from NYC’s Meatpacking District to a new permanent showroom in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, Vitra is hosting a party on February 23rd, 2017, to celebrate the official opening of its Pop-Up shop opposite the Whitney Museum of American Art, with sweeping views of the Hudson River.Located in a former meat-processing facility, the raw 7,500 square foot space includes a Vitra storefront featuring selected pieces of Vitra and Artek furniture as well as new introductions from the Accessories Collection. These will be united with a Garage Office installation starring Hack, designed by Konstantin Grcic.
