A film about Vitra

Products and solutions:

Creating innovative products and concepts with great designers is Vitra’s essence. They are developed in Switzerland and installed worldwide by architects, companies and private users to build inspirational spaces for living, working and shopping as well as public areas. As of 2016, the Vitra brand not only stands for office interiors as well as furniture, lighting and accessories for the home, but also for intelligent shopfitting systems and custom-tailored retail concepts.

The Vitra Campus:

The structures that have been erected since 1981 on the company grounds were designed by prominent international architects such as Nicholas Grimshaw, Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, Tadao Ando, Álvaro Siza, Herzog & de Meuron and SANAA. Each of the buildings bears a distinctive architectural signature; together they form a unique ensemble.

The Vitra Design Museum:

The Vitra Design Museum ranks as one of the leading museums of design worldwide. It is dedicated to the research and presentation of design, past and present, and examines design’s relationship to architecture, art and everyday culture.

Authors of Vitra:

Vitra sees designers not simply as contractors but as authors. The relationship of trust between these authors from all corners of the world and Vitra, who shares their ambitions, is at the very heart of the company’s product development process. Its collaborations are always a synthesis of creative freedom, manufacturing know-how and market knowledge. This tradition was established in the early years of the company, when designers like Eames and Nelson set standards that are still valid today. All designer & architects →
