In fact, Automattic, the company behind WordPress and Tumblr was founded as a fully remote organisation back in 2005. Today, the web giant boasts 11,000 employees in about 70 countries. What does it take to run a fully remote organisation? What rules need to be enforced to keep communication flowing effectively in a virtual setup?
