Solitary Lines
A visual essay by Ronan Bouroullec
Over the past few weeks, we have given this space over to various protagonists from the fields of architecture and design to reflect on the unusual time in which we find ourselves. But artists and creatives don’t solely turn to writing to find clarity during eventful periods.
For the brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, drawing – even on receipts or napkins if necessary – is an indispensable part of their design process. In a previous article, we mentioned that Ronan Bouroullec never leaves home without a few sheets of paper in his pocket. But what if he cannot leave his house?
‘Drawing has been a part of my life since I was a child, and over the past few weeks this activity has really helped me a lot’, says Ronan.
Here are some results of this work.
